Freedom Foundation is a faith based, non-profit organization, committed to addressing the ever-mounting and staggering challenges in our society by empowering individuals who are plagued by various categories of social and economic challenges. Freedom Foundation’s model of Rehabilitation, Education and Empowerment is augmented by research and awareness promotion. We actively partner with the Government, other NGOs, civil society organizations and corporate institutions to ensure the delivery of human services at the greatest points of impact.

At Freedom Foundation, we believe that everyone has the right to live freely, free from addictions, free from sex slavery, free from ignorance and free from poverty.

Our Vision is to reach out, give hope, rehabilitate, educate and empower impoverished persons in order to achieve individual and community transformation.

Our target population segments are the socially and economically disadvantaged and vulnerable men, women and children within our society.




Dr. Tony Rapu

Chairman, Board of Trustees

Dr. Tony Rapu is an experienced Medical Doctor, life coach and the Senior Pastor of the House of Freedom. His vision is to bring about developmental change in lives and communities by reaching out to different demographics through strategic interventions.

At Freedom Foundation Dr. Rapu has developed innovative methods and solutions in tackling issues like drug addiction, urban poverty, and community development. Through mission and ministry, he continues to bring purpose, empowerment and life-changing opportunities to numerous people. He is married to Nkoyo, and they have three children.


Dr. Nkoyo Rapu

Co-chair and Trustee

Nkoyo Rapu is a woman of diverse interests and skills. A lawyer by profession, she is passionate about the plight of destitute children and founded Bethesda Child Support Agency, a sister organization to Freedom Foundation to meet basic health and education needs of this group.

She is the author of “The Gilded Cage” and “Shining Statues”. She is committed to working with women and children and sits as a member of the Board of Trustees for Freedom Foundation and has a strong passion for education and development.


Mr. Kemela Okara

Kemela Okara is a published author and an experienced legal practitioner with over 20 years of practice both locally and internationally. He is a founding partner of Streamsowers and Kohn a major commercial Law Firm with offices in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

As well as being a Trustee of Freedom Foundation, he sits on the board of Arc Lights Limited, holders of the Lego franchise for West Africa and parts of North Africa and is a Director of KSF MicroFinance Bank. He also set up the Kemela Okara Foundation with offices in Yenagoa to provide vocational and entrepreneurial training for young men and women in the Niger Delta region.

He is happily married to Chineze and they have 4 children.



Bunmi George

Bunmi George is a renowned Nigerian gospel singer, entrepreneur, and a senior executive in the House of Freedom. She is the founder of Emisara Fashion Jewelry, an up and coming label in the fashion industry.

She has over 16 years of professional experience spanning management consulting, human resource management and organization development. Within that time, she has spent 10 years working in the development field both internationally and locally, including USAID and Amnesty International. Bunmi is passionate about enabling people to achieve their fullest potential. She holds a master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Morgan USA.

Bunmi George is married to Lemuel and is the mother of two beautiful daughters.


Angela Gbemisola Adeboye-Attah

Angela is the Managing Partner at Alegna Global Partnerships focusing on the overall strategic direction of this management consultancy and financial advisory firm to deliver solutions across emerging markets. She leads the acquisition of work and structuring of solutions, working with a dynamic and talented team of professionals to maintain high standards across all project engagements. Prior to founding Alegna Global Partnerships, she worked as a Project Manager at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where she focused on financial services and led the acquisition and execution of public sector engagements in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Prior to consulting, Angela worked as a Private Wealth Manager for the Standard Bank group in Lagos, Nigeria for six years and briefly for the Debt Management Office in the Presidency in Abuja, Nigeria. She currently serves on the Committee reviewing and implementing payroll and budget systems for the Federal Government of Nigeria as well as the editorial board of Thisday Newspapers. She is a patron at the Little Saints Orphanage and founder of the Beulah foundation, which helps youth in rural communities to lead positive lives. She maintains a weekly cloumn in Thisday Newspaper. She holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from University of Abuja and an MBA from INSEAD, France and Singapore.
