Freedom Funds Empowerment

Maximizing Potential through Empowerment

Freedom Empowerment is an arm of Freedom Foundation established to provide sustainable economic empowerment for the different groups of people that Freedom Foundation is reaching out to, through our various initiatives. The empowerment arm of the Foundation seeks to build capacity in our target groups, particularly in the area of human capital development, thereby ensuring long term solutions to their identified issues such as poverty, unemployment, lack of marketable skills and illiteracy.

Key Objectives

  • Provide marketable skills to those who are unskilled

  • Assist those who are skilled to find suitable jobs

  • Help entrepreneurs develop profitable and sustainable businesses

In order to achieve these objectives, Freedom Empowerment provides services covering 3 major areas:

• Career Counseling / Recruitment: We help our clients identify and choose suitable career paths. We also provide job search assistance to enable them to find jobs that suit their skills set. The scheme is supported by our career workshops and vocational training courses. We work through our database of prospective employees and employers, matching them as and when required. Our target is to place 30 people in employment every month.

• Training: We provide marketable skills to the unskilled via in-house and external trainings. The aim is to provide clients with skills that will enable them to find jobs or start small businesses. We provide vocational training courses, employability training courses, and place people with our training partners to learn manual skills including driving servicing, electrical and electronics servicing, and computer hardware servicing. Our target is to train at least 40 people every month.

• Business Support: We aid in the development of sustainable small businesses. We assist in the birth of business ideas and preparation and review of business plans. Our vocational training courses help train our clients to manufacture various products and set up small businesses to produce and market these products.
